- Mom's side-board was made in 1902 from scrapes of wood from the railroad shop in Denver Colorado, by Joseph Baumstark and Emil Louis Zadra (Joseph's brother-in-law, married to his sister Mary Baumstark). Later on in 1906 it was shipped by freight in three sections to Jospeh Baumstark in Hermann, Mo, and, if it can, to always be in the Joseph Baumstark family.
Emil Zadra was one of the finest cabinet makers in the railroad shop, and Joseph worked with him at his shop until 1905, and on November 8th, 1905 Joseph Baumstark married Clara Kaiser, daughter of Herman and Mathilda Kaiser, nee Becker.
There is a 1904 penny under the glass on the left hand side of the side-board.
In 1963 it was given to Theodore Baumstark son of Joseph.
