- Teddy was a bricklayer by trade. He worked in Hermann, MO and different localities as a bricklayer. When the job was done he would move on to the next location. Gertrude and he had a camper trailer and she would go with him on his jobs.
In his retirement years, he made intricate items out of small pieces of wood. One of these pieces is a miniature copy of the rotunda which is in the city park. He also made a water wheel which was on his porch outside during the warmer months of the year. The small rotunda is in the museum at the German School.
