Obituary of Dr. Albert Bleil



Clinton MO - Dr. A. W. Bleil died at his home in Kansas City, Sunday, June 13, 1937. He was born May 17, 1863, at Marion, Ohio, and moved in 1866, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Bleil, to Shawnee Mound, north of Clinton. He received his elementary education in Shawnee Mound, continuing his studies at the Valpariso College, Valpariso, Indiana. Immediately thereafter he taught in the public schools at Blairstown and other Henry County towns for several years. He was a member of the Quarles Baptist church. He then went to Kansas City, where he resumed his study in medicine, receiving his degree from the Missouri Medical College. During the past 40 years he practiced medicine in greater Kansas City. He was president of the Southwest Eclectic Medical Association and for the past few years was a professor and Dean of the Midwest Medical College in Kansas City. He is survived by a sister, Nettie Bleil, Shawnee Mound, and three brothers, Carl N., Shawnee Mound, Edgar J., and Guy D. Bleil of Kansas City. Funeral at the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Shawnee Mound. Burial was there.
